Natural delivery is desirable for both mother and doctor. Mothers with a vaginal delivery recover early. Dr. Neha Bansal ensures giving a good trial of labor to her patients but within limits of the safety of the mother as well as her baby.

But, in some cases waiting too long for a natural birth may pose risks to the baby as well as the mother. Sometimes unborn baby shows signs of distress in form of changes in a heartbeat which are recorded on a cardiotocograph(CTG). There are many situations where cesarean section delivery needs to be done, like

• Fetal distress
• Baby size is out of proportion to the mother’s pelvis
• Malposition of baby
• Previous uterine surgery (where there is a risk of scar rupture)
